Maiselog is an academic-personal blog that was created and currently authored by Matt Maisel. The realms of security and intelligence are the primary focus of Maiselog, but nonetheless, its scope is broad. Penn State University, information technology, online marketing, science fiction, and my own personal life are also interest points.

This blog is actually a continuation of an academic-personal blog that I started in my IST 110 class during my freshman year at Penn State. Throughout the duration of the semester, I was required to blog about topics related to information, technology, and people. By the end of the class, blogging had become a habit of mine. The transition from PSU’s movable type blog program was made when my girlfriend bought me the maiselog.com domain name for Christmas (it was one of the coolest gifts that I ever received).

As of spring 2008, I am pursuing concurrent majors in Information Sciences and Technology and Security and Risk Analysis at Penn State University.
